Mountain America Credit Union began as a Utah bank, but today, it also services Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, and New Mexico. While some banks may offer multiple routing numbers, MACU simplifies the process with just one routing number for all of the states it services: 324079555.

What Is a Routing Number?

A routing number is also known as a routing transit number or an ABA routing number. It is a special code that is made up of nine digits. It serves as a unique identifier for your specific bank. That way, your transaction will be successful when you make wire transfers or use direct deposit for payroll, or even transfer funds from one account to another.

You may have seen your routing number before when you were signing up for payroll at work or when you made an electronic funds withdrawal so you could pay your taxes. Whatever the reason for its use, your bank’s routing number is the starting point for all of your transactions, allowing banks and financial institutions all over the world to access your account.

Where Can You Find Your MACU Routing Number?

Sometimes, we focus so much on the correct way to write a check that we forget about its other purposes, too. Finding your routing number is as easy as looking at a personal check.

Simply look for the first set of numbers in the bottom left-hand corner. This is your MACU routing number, which is made up of nine digits. The number on the right is your MACU account number.

There are other ways to find your routing number, too. You can always call customer support at (800) 748-4302. There is a convenient direct deposit form for employers that is available on the website, as well.

With your routing number, you are now ready to perform all sorts of financial transactions.
