Uber makes scheduling a ride easy. The Uber process can be completed with just a few taps on your smartphone. It’s designed to be simple, although you may have questions or doubts the first time you schedule a ride. Follow these five steps on how to schedule an Uber for a fool-proof way to get to your destination.

1. Download the Uber App

If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to download the Uber app. The app allows you to easily schedule an Uber from wherever you are. Once your app is installed, set up an account by following the prompts.

2. Schedule an Uber

Once you’re set up, you’ll need to tap on the “Now” or “Schedule a Ride” button next to the “Where To” bar. Enter your pickup date and time. You may schedule rides up to one month in advance.

3. Provide Pick-Up Information

You’ll need to set your pick-up location. The app can track your location, so you don’t have to input an address if you don’t know it. Or you can type in a different pick-up address.

4. Set Destination Location, Time, and Ride Type

Enter your destination address and time. The Uber app will provide you with options of the ride types available, including pick-up times and a fare estimate. Choose the ride type you prefer.

5. Confirm Ride

Once you’re ready, tap on “Schedule” and wait for your driver to arrive. No need to have cash ready, Uber will charge the payment method on file. You can track the driver’s progress or keep an eye on your notifications to hear updates on your ride’s estimated arrival time (ETA). Edit or cancel the ride at any time before it arrives.

Don’t forget to leave your driver a review after you’re done. The app will prompt you for a rating. It will also ask you if you want to send the driver a tip. You have up to 30 days to send one.
